Viacom Africa Commissions New Reality Wedding Dress Show For DStv's BET Africa
Similar to the long-running favourite show Say Yes to the Dress on Discovery Inc.'s TLC channel, 2 Families and a Wedding Dress will have presenter Thembisa Mdoda assisting 13 prospective brides in choosing a wedding dress worth up to $2000 per episode.
The 13-episode 2 Families and a Wedding Dress is aimed at black viewers and follows the Afrikaans show My Droom-Trourok (My dream wedding dress) on VIA as yet another series looking to grab a generous slice of the high ratings that come with the ongoing trend of wedding reality shows.
Viacom Africa says that viewers can expect a sensational mixture of entertainment, drama and fashion.
Monde Twala of Viacom International Media Networks Africa (VIMN Africa) said that BET Africa prides itself in providing authentic stories and exciting content that Africans can genuinely relate to on their screens.
He added that 2 Families and a Wedding Dress encapsulates the intimate and most memorable journey of finding the perfect wedding dress, and that BET Africa audiences could expect to be thrilled with this fresh season of content.
