StarTimes Announces Rollout Of 24Hr News Channel Across Africa
According to StarTimes, the upgrade is a result of the outstanding performance of the channel since its launch last year and its efforts to reach a broader audience in more than 30 African countries where it is broadcast, reaching a viewership of more than 12 million households with news in politics, business, entertainment, sports and global trends.
The CEO of StarTimes Nigeria, David Zhang, said that Plus TV Africa had performed well during its pilot phase, hence the upgrade to the StarTimes dish platform.
Also commenting, the Managing Director of Plus TV Africa, Kayode Akintemi said that the upgrade to broadcast across Pan Africa is proof that the company’s hard work in creating engaging and unique content for its audience has paid off.
He stated that Plus TV Africa is predicted to become the number one online and on-air source of news in Africa, adding that Plus TV Africa is a channel for the young at heart and the millennials who are hungry for reliable news and trends with solutions to move Africa forward.
Plus TV Africa is now available on channel 508 on the StarTimes Dish Platform and also on Channel 308 on all StarTimes bouquets. It can also be streamed live online.
