Safaricom Offers Free YouTube To Its Data Customers
This special offer will allow subscribers to use the free data to stream YouTube on their gadgets at any time of the day, with no usage cost being deducted from their monthly bundle.
Safaricom’s Chief Customer Officer, Sylvia Mulinge said that Kenyans are increasingly taking to video consumption on the Internet, with music, news, comedy and sports emerging as the most searched online video content in Kenya.
Mulenga added that to meet this need, Safaricom decided to provide its subscribers with an extra free five GB of YouTube streaming that they can use at any time of the day. She noted that the mobile service also continues to expand its network across the country to make sure that Kenyans have access to reliable, strong and super-fast 4G+ coverage.
The All in One Monthly Bundles were rolled out in February 2019 as Safaricom aimed to tailor its offering to the current smartphone era, where customers are increasingly seeking a single package that combines all their communication needs (voice, data, SMS) at one, predictable price point.
