Nigeria's HotSports Media Secures Egypt 2019 AFCON Broadcasting Rights

Nigeria's HotSports Media Group has been granted the rights to broadcast the 32nd African Cup of Nations kicking off in Cairo on June 21.
It will be aired on terrestrial television channels throughout Nigeria, the company has announced.

The media group said that the deal would be concluded with the Nigerian Television Authority at a signing ceremony in Abuja.

The Africa Cup of Nations is the continent's most significant football tournament, which Nigerian fans look forward to watching perhaps even more than the FIFA World Cup.
This year's edition of the AFCON in Egypt, which will begin in Cairo on June 21 and then run until July 19, is expected to be watched by billions of TV viewers in the continent and across the world.

HotSports will broadcast all 52 matches from the group stage to the much-anticipated final to the fans in their living rooms, viewing centres and other relaxation spots.

The Group CEO of the HotSports Media Group, Taye Ige announced the NTA's decision to grant HotSports the rights to broadcast and market the tournament and said that Nigerian football fans would have four weeks of uninterrupted fun watching the matches on TV.

He assured the public that Hotsports would deploy all its marketing and technical competencies acquired over the years to give Nigeria's lovers of the beautiful game the most fulfilling and relaxing AFCON as they cheer the Super Eagles to victory in Egypt.

Products and brands will use this massive TV viewership opportunity to connect with potential and existing customers during the tournament.
