Canal+ Africa Adds New Music Channel To Its Offering
Caroline Cochaux, the Deputy Director of TV channels Lagardère-Active and the President of Mezzo, said that with this launch in Africa, Mezzo continues to expand internationally.
Mezzo is already distributed in over sixty countries in Europe, North America and Asia. It’s introduction to Africa is an extra step for the TV channel devoted to jazz, classical music and dance, to cross borders and speak to the heart of African audiences in the language of music.
On the other hand, Marc Welinski, the Director of Mezzo said that the music channel is aware of the decisive contribution that African music has made to American and European music. He added that the arrival of Mezzo in Africa reflects the return of a growing interest in classical music, opera and jazz in Africa.
The channel has been added to the Tout Canal package in Burkina Faso, Benin, Burundi, Congo, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Gambia, Gabon, Ghana, Mali, Guinea Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea Conakry, Mauritania, Central African Republic, Niger, Rwanda, Chad, Senegal and Togo.
