Content Creators, Producers, Distributors And Broadcasters In Southern Africa To Convene In Swakopmund - Namibia In June 2019

The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) will be hosting a major Industry Forum on Content Management for Digital Broadcast Media it has just been revealed!

According to the organisers, the forum, which will take place on Monday 24th – Thursday 27th June 2019 in the coastal town of Swakopmund, Namibia will bring together content creators, producers, distributors, advertisers and broadcasters from across the region to re-look at the development, distribution, regulation and monetisation of broadcast content in a digital ecosystem.

The week-long activities, it has been reported, will include a specialised workshop on “multi-platform content production” and a special 1-day meeting of SABA’s Director-General and CEOs focused solely on the strategic matter of broadcast content in the digital environment!
 
Speaking to BMA about this upcoming event, the co-conveners, Mr Cecil Nguvauva (the Secretary-General of SABA) and Mr Benjamin Pius (Executive Publisher of BMA) said that they expect the Forum to offer strategies and know-how to enable the broadcast industry to cater to the content needs of consumers in ways that are not only profitable but sustainable!
