COO Of E-Media Investments Resigns

eMedia Investments confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that Mark Rosin, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the broadcasting firm has resigned.
No replacement had been named at the time.

Sources from eMedia Investments said that Mark Rosin is leaving his post at the company that owns South Africa's free-to-air commercial TV station e.tv, the popular news channel eNCA (DStv 403) on MultiChoice's DStv satellite pay-TV service, and its free-to-air satellite platform Openview.

Mark Rosin's unexpected exit comes just five months after Andre van der Veen resigned and vacated his position as eMedia Holdings CEO at the end of November last year.

In response to questions asked by the media, eMedia Investments declared that Mark Rosin would be stepping down at the end of April 2019, after working for eight years in the eMedia group.

Rosin was initially e.tv's lawyer, then he became an in-house business affairs and legal executive, before finally becoming the company’s COO in 2014.

eMedia Investments said that an announcement regarding the vacant COO position would be made in due course.

The CEO of eMedia Investments, Khalik Sheriff said that Mark leaves the organisation after having worked with many different CEO's and liaising directly with the company’s board and shareholders, while also running the operations within the group.

Sheriff added that eMedia Investments is going to miss Mark’s warmth, energy and capacity to stay calm under immense pressure.

However, Sheriff noted that Mark would not entirely leave the group, as he would continue to provide consulting services to eMedia Investments, either as a lawyer or media consultant.
