AfricaOnline Aims To Broaden Its Core Service In Ghana
In a statement, AfricaOnline said that Plender, who was in a consulting role within GIN before his recent promotion, comes with decades of telecommunications experience across both European and African markets.
Plender said that he is excited to lead AfricaOnline as it continues to develop and grow into one of Africa's leading internet and connectivity services providers. He added that in the 21 years that AfricaOnline had been in its pivotal role, the ISP had established itself as a front-running Ghanaian business.
The Managing Director said that he looks forward to significantly growing and evolving the company’s service offering.
According to Plender, Ghana has displayed signs of massive growth and is building itself into a respectable business hub for West Africa.
He noted that Ghana is seeing an uptake in infrastructure development, global investment and a rapid increase in internet penetration.
Plender added that there had been a definite uptake within vertical industries as well as the growth of 4G mobile, fibre and wireless technology, and high throughput satellite installations.
