Canal+ To Launch New African TV Programme ‘Sakho & Mangane’

Canal+ Africa has announced that it is planning to roll out a new African TV show ‘Sakho and Mangane’ in all French-speaking African countries.

‘Sakho and Mangane’ is a detective series that has been created and directed by Jean-Luc Herbulot with the collaboration of Hubert Ndao and Toumani Sangaré as the show’s directors.
It will be a 100% African production that will boast a team of three directors from Mali, Congo, Senegal and Mali.

The plot of the series is formulated around events that take place in an African capital Dakar. The series follows the lives and adventures of Lieutenant Basile Mangane (Yann Gael) and Commander Souleymane Sakho (Issaka Sawadogo), a duo of police officers who have opposite characters and radically different methods of doing things.

Under the instruction of Mama Ba, Lieutenant Mangane and Commander Sakho are forced to work together to solve the increasingly bizarre cases of criminal and supernatural happenings in Dakar.

The two police officers offer an explosive and exciting combination of action, mystery and twists.

Canal + hopes that this broadcast will be instrumental in encouraging the professionalisation and training of teams engaged in content production.
