SuperSport Signs Deal To Make EFC Available On Its Platform In Sub-Saharan Africa

SuperSport has secured a multi-year broadcast deal with the Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC), which will come into effect in March.

The pay TV sports channel has also doubled down on their commitment to Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) after also joining forces with the UFC in the new year.

SuperSport’s Chief Executive, Gideon Khobane said that SuperSport is well aware of the international growth of MMA, and is therefore proud to collaborate with the EFC. Khobane added that in addition to the high-quality contests, the EFC’s outstanding production values were consistent with those of SuperSport, and the channel looked forward to embarking on this incredible journey together.

On the other hand, Cairo Howarth, the President of the Extreme Fighting Championship said in a public statement that the EFC was extremely thrilled to join forces with SuperSport.
Howarth said that this was because SuperSport was the one sports channel that provided fans all across Africa with the best possible viewing of EFC content, in multiple languages, in HD, promoting EFC, athletes and associated brands more than ever before.

The new collaboration will provide many hours of EFC programming every day on SuperSport, as well as approximately ten live primetime events per year.
