The SVOD platform, iflix has announced that it has joined forces with Channel NewsAsia, the English-language Asian news channel based in Southeast Asia.

iflix released a statement saying that it understands the need for reliable and relevant news updates in the current online environment that is filled with fake, attention-grabbing click-bait. He noted that iflix News had aimed to deliver timely, comprehensive coverage to the viewers on their terms. In conclusion, Galvin added that he was thrilled to welcome Channel NewsAsia, one of Asia’s most popular and most trusted television news offering onboard to deliver current affairs, lifestyle features and in-depth analysis shows from an Asian perspective.

Woon Chuk Chan from Channel Distribution, added that the collaboration with iflix was part of Channel Distribution’s ongoing strategy to stay relevant to a digitally-focused audience, offering users much more freedom and flexibility in their viewing experience.
