Segun Ogunsanya, The Chief Executive Officer of Airtel Nigeria, was recently speaking at the Wheatbaker Hotel in Lagos and stated that The company had rolled out the 4G network in more than 60 major cities across Nigeria. Airtel’s 4G network is now available in more than 60 of the largest cities and towns in Nigeria across many different States, making Airtel the provider with the most extensive and broadest 4G coverage in the entire country.
Ogunsanya further declared that it is a well-known fact that Lagos has its own unique spirit – a can-do spirit – and it also possesses a special energy, which is super fast-paced. He added that he was thrilled that Airtel 4G would help the people of Lagos do more and therefore, achieve more, regardless of their status and location. Ogunsanya said that with such fast mobile internet, a young professional would be able to use his map to familiarise himself with the traffic network, plan and connect with all the right people.
The CEO expressed that the 4G would certainly improve personal and professional productivity and also help in creating more entrepreneurs and more business opportunities. In addition to all of that, it would offer the youth the much-needed chance to express their creativity and talent, improve the overall quality of life in Nigeria and connect more people to all their dreams. According to the major telecom operator, the aim is to cover at least100 cities by the end of March 2019.
Earlier this year, Airtel started on its ambitious journey towards building the most abundant and most reliable 4G network in Nigeria. In February 2018 the company achieved a significant milestone with the pioneer roll-out of its 4G network services in Ibadan to the delight of all the Nigerians residing in the ancient city. Since that pioneer launch, Airtel has not looked back and has continued to deliver an excellent service to many major cities in Nigeria.
