MultiChoice, SABC and MTV To Air Live Broadcast Of The Global Citizen Festival Globally

MultiChoice, the SABC, Viacom International's MTV and YouTube have acquired the broadcasting rights of the upcoming Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100.

SABC and YouTube that will broadcast the festival in South Africa, sub-Saharan African and globally to a total of 180 countries across six continents on 2 December.

MultiChoice will broadcast the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 to the entire DStv audience in South Africa and throughout sub-Saharan Africa.

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) will also screen the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 live as it happens at the FNB Stadium in Soweto, South Africa to 180 countries and areas outside the United States, including Argentina, Australia and many more.

MTV Base will air a 2-hour "best of" TV special in the days following the live broadcast on DStv in South Africa as well as approximately 50 countries across sub-Saharan Africa.

The parts of the world that might not be receiving the live broadcast on tv will be able to catch the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 on Twitter and YouTube.

The South African comedian Trevor Noah will co-host the festival alongside Naomi Campbell, Tyler Perry, Bonang Matheba Dave Chappelle and many more global stars.
Oprah Winfrey will present a keynote address about the late Nelson Mandela and his legacy.

The audience will enjoy first-class performances by international stars, such as Beyoncé and Jay-Z, D’banj, Cassper Nyovest, Ed Sheeran, Femi Kuti, Sho Madjozi and Tiwa Savage, among others.
