Kwesé and Vodafone Join Forces To Bring VOD Content To Ghana

Vodafone Ghana has signed a deal with highly acclaimed broadcaster Kwesé, to provide video-on-demand and live TV content to Ghana through the platform’s video streaming service Kwesé Play.

This partnership will allow viewers to connect a Kwese Play digital TV device to Vodafone’s high-speed fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) or ADSL broadband service to watch unlimited live TV entertainment from Kwesé TV in their homes.

Kwesé Play offers a variety of video on demand content into the market because of its list of global leading content providers including Netflix, TED, Kwese iflix, YouTube and RedBull TV.
Kwesé Play looks forward to introducing over 200 streaming channels on one platform and coming up with many more to offer over the coming months.

The collaboration between Kwesé and Vodafone will enable Kwesé Play Bundled to be accessed unlimitedly using Vodafone’s fixed broadband home internet packages and viewers will be able to stream their favourite movies or shows using Vodafone’s super high-speed internet connection.

Vodafone broadband subscribers can purchase the Kwesé Play device and also receive one month’s unlimited data to stream Kwesé TV’s full live TV content bouquet accompanied by a complimentary 12-month subscription to Kwesé iflix as part of the deal.

Patricia Obo-Nai, The Director of Fixed Business and Customer Operations of Vodafone, declared that Vodafone was very excited about this partnership and that the collaboration would offer world-class entertainment content to the customers in the comfort of their homes. She said that Kwesé Play would deliver seamless video-on-demand and live TV content to Ghanaian because of the efficient and reliable internet broadband service that is provided by Vodafone Ghana.

During the official launch of Kwesé Play in Ghana, Maxwell Dodd, the Country Manager of Kwesé, expressed that Kwese prides itself in being an innovative broadcast network that offers the best content to African viewers across various platforms. He added that the introduction of Kwesé Play in Ghana would broaden Kwese’s product offering while simultaneously bringing the best in engaging entertainment to Ghanaian households.

The joint venture between Vodafone and Kwesé will offer Ghanaians a premium viewing experience, and all they need to do is add the Kwesé Play service to their Vodafone broadband subscription to benefit from this new offering.
