South Africa: eNCA Take Content From Bloomberg Media Distribution
As from mid-October, eNCA will provide Bloomberg news pieces from New York and other international markets to share the state of world economies and how they impact South Africa. The Bloomberg news segment will be broadcast during “News Hour” on weeknights, which airs from 10-11pm. News Hour has in a short space of time gained quite a large audience made up of both the South African business community and general news viewers who want to stay informed of the economic and daily news.
Bloomberg Media will also use many personality profiles and special feature segments to give viewers insight into global market trends and business analysis. The public will be able to access all of this on eNCA.com and eNCA.
eNCA’s Editor-in-Chief, Mapi Mahlangu said that the channel is excited to have partnered with Bloomberg Media because this partnership will add value to the business and markets coverage at this very critical economic era in South Africa. Mahlangu adds that as South Africans start to feel the impact of the recession, they must also still be aware that the South African economy is tied to global economic activities.
Josh Basset, the Director of EMEA Distribution and Partnerships at Bloomberg Media Distribution declared that as Bloomberg is just as thrilled as eNCA is about this new alliance and cannot wait to share premium journalism and the most relevant content to leaders of business and essential decision-makers in the South African region. Basset expressed that this merger is the first step in the right direction for Bloomberg as they begin to broaden their reach in the African business community.
