Kwesé To Broadcast Petrolex Kanu Cup 2018

Kwese has purchased the rights to broadcast the coverage of The Kanu Heart Foundation and Masters Football’s fundraiser, Petrolex Kanu Cup 2018 this week.

African soccer legends and Premier League Masters will be taking each other in the charity soccer match that will take place at London’s Hive Stadium on Sunday 30 September.

Kwesé will be airing full coverage of the match from kick-off at 2.45pm on its free-to-air channel, Kwesé Free Sports. Soccer fans in Lagos can watch the game on UHF channel 32 through Kwesé Free Sports terrestrial transmission. Football fans around Nigeria will also enjoy the game live on Kwesé TV channel 285, and those on the move won’t be left out of the action as they can watch through the Kwesé TV or Kwesé iflix mobile apps.

If successful, this initiative will allow the Kanu Heart Foundation to raise approximately $35M to build a new cardiac centre in Abuja, Nigeria to assist in the treatment of people in need.

Kanu Nwankwo, Nigerian and Arsenal football legend, expressed his support for the charity initiative by saying that a new cardiac centre in Abuja would help many people get access to essential heart treatments without having to travel overseas. Nwankwo declared that he is very proud of his fellow ex-football stars for taking part in this very significant contribution to a good cause.
