Startimes Supports Grassroots Football - Sign Long-term Broadcast Deal In Uganda

Startimes have announced that it had concluded an agreement with the Federation of Uganda Football Associations  (FUFA) for a 10-year broadcasting and sponsorship deal, that would see it own the broadcast rights to the Ugandan Premier League and Big League, which are the two most important leagues in the country.

Reports said the deal is worth more than USD 7 million to FUFA.

In a statement attributed to the president of FUFA, Mr Moses Magogo, the organisation expressed regard to Startimes for making such a massive investment into African grassroots football, and that it looks to working assiduously to make sure the partnership is rewarding to both parties.

On its part, Startimes congratulated FUFA on reaching the deal and said this emphasises its commitment to developing Africa's sporting environment and its infrastructure
