Nigeria: Entry for Multichoice Talent Factory Academy Draws Near

Leading pay-tv company, Multichoice has announced that entries for its Multichoice Talent Factory Academy would close at 6 pm on Thursday, 5 July 2018.

According to Multichoice, thousands of entries have been pouring in from different parts of Africa giving budding filmmakers a rare opportunity to be part of the next set of groomed filmmakers. Since the window of opportunity is getting narrower by the day, MultiChoice is encouraging all would-be film and TV producers to visit the website and submit their entries to be a part of this opportunity.

This initiative by Multichoice is delivered through three touchpoints which are; Masterclasses, the MTF academies, and the MTF Portal. The MTF Academy is a one year, fully-funded educational programme focused on providing 60 qualified, young, talented hopefuls with the necessary knowledge and skills to create and innovate film and television productions. For Western African countries, the academy will take place in Lagos, the economic capital of Nigeria.

According to MultiChoice Director, MultiChoice Talent Factory, Cheryl Uys-Allie: “We are thrilled at the degree of enthusiasm we have seen from all stakeholders, since the announcement of this the MTF initiative. This makes it important for us to reach the nooks and crannies of the continent to explore undiscovered gems waiting to be found and groomed. This is why we are encouraging  anyone who wants to improve on their skills in the film and TV sector to take a look at the Talent factory website fill and submit the entry application before the deadline.”

Aspart of the process that successful intakes would have to go through, 20 selected MTF students will get the opportunity to hone their film and television production skills with the supervision of industry experts during the 12-Month duration of the programme which has 01 October 2018 as the kick-off date.
