Kenya: Startimes Plans To Cover Rural Areas With Digital TV Signal

Startimes - the pan-African digital TV company - has announced it will expand digital TV coverage to more counties covering rural Kenya. A statement attributed to the company says it is aiming to enable digital terrestrial TV signals reach rural and remote places of Kenya like Kitui, Garissa, Embu, Kapenguria, Laikipia and Trans-Nzoia.

Delivering the new signal reach will cost the company about USD 75 million, and with this investment, Startimes believes it will be on target to achieving a comprehensive digital signal coverage across Kenya

Startimes also confirmed that their subscribers would have access to both their Pay-TV as well as Free-to-Air platforms.
