Is The SABC On The Brink Of Financial Collapse? Is The Former COO To Blame?

The South Africa Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) is apparently so cash-strapped that it is now using the reserve to pay Staff and finance programmes. The organisation's financial situation is said to be worse than 2008 when it required a massive public bail-out.

Kaizer Kganyago, a spokesperson from SABC, denied any talk of crisis, saying all salary would be paid even though reserves were down.

Press reports in South Africa are pointing fingers to former SABC COO Mr Hlaudi Motsoeneng saying he is responsible for the current enormous financial mess by making too many appointments and also entering into a few too many 'white elephant' projects.
